This page contains all the necessary resources for the successful installation and operation of your Rotrex supercharger and its traction fluid system. Comprehensive guideline documents, datasheets, and setup instructions can be downloaded here. Additionally, tutorial videos are available for your convenience on YouTube and can also be accessed from this page.
Proper Procedure for Filling and Priming Your Supercharger System
Properly filling and priming your supercharger system is a critical process that ensures optimal performance and longevity. While the procedure may initially appear complex, we have provided a detailed video tutorial to guide you through the correct steps.
The use of our specially formulated SX150 traction fluid is essential for maintaining the cooling efficiency and operational reliability of your supercharger. This fluid plays a vital role in reducing friction and managing heat. To ensure the best results, please refer to the instructional video and the accompanying setup and maintenance documentation.
Changing Your Supercharger Pulley
If you’re aiming to increase boost, reducing the pulley size is essential.
Our innovative 6-bolt pulley design simplifies the process of adjusting pulley sizes. For detailed guidance, refer to the video demonstration on the correct procedure.
Our pulleys are available in diameters ranging from 70 mm to 110 mm, with increments of 5 mm. It is important to avoid exceeding the recommended rotational speed of your supercharger. If uncertain, use the pulley calculator available here to ensure safe operation.
For superchargers manufactured prior to 2022, please refer to the video dedicated to the earlier pulley designs and adapters.
Adjusting the Outlet Direction of Your Supercharger
If the outlet of your supercharger is misaligned or requires modification, such as welding a tight bend or fitting clamp connectors, the process involves removing the compressor housing.
This procedure is straightforward and involves removing only six bolts, as demonstrated in our instructional video. However, it is necessary to first detach the supercharger from its mounting bracket.
During the process, exercise caution to avoid any damage to the compressor wheel, as it is a critical component for efficient operation.
Upgrading from Old Style Pulleys to the New Pulley Type
If you have a pre-2022 supercharger and need to replace the pulley or upgrade to the newer pulley design, our tutorial video provides detailed instructions to guide you through the process.
The older steel pulleys are no longer in production, so we recommend upgrading to the new design. The modern pulleys are significantly lighter, more efficient, and much easier to change.
Ensure that you do not exceed the recommended rotational speed of your supercharger. If uncertain, use the pulley calculator available here.
Additionally, you can download the 3D-printed pulley/pulley adapter holding tool file from the provided link for added convenience during installation.
